Care Guide and Washing Instructions
Underwired products
All underwired bras, swimwear and built-in strappy tops require the same care when washing. We recommend that you hand wash these products as the washing machine can shrink the fabric, twist the wires and cause the wires to push through the fabric. Should the wires come out of the fabric they can cause extensive damage to your washing machine. Dry underwire products away from direct heat and sun as these will damage and degrade the fabric and wires. Do not tumble dry.
Lingerie
To get the best longevity out of your thongs, panties, shorts and bikini bottoms, we recommend that you hand wash them. It is also best to use lukewarm water as hot water may damage delicate materials such as lace, embroidery, Lycra, bindings and elastic. Using lukewarm water will prevent the fabrics from going grey and help keep the product’s colour.
Swimwear
Rinse swimwear out immediately after use in order to prolong the life of your garment. This will protect is against sun, chlorine, salt, suntan lotion and perspiration damage.
Do not use fabric conditioner on swimwear as it degrades the Lycra.
Remember that you can get sunburn through the swimwear so please remember to apply sun block to the areas under your swimwear.
Clothing
Please check the labels inside the garments and follow the individual washing and ironing instructions. Some products may be dry clean only.

Please always ensure only SABS approved washing power is used on Treasure Chest products.
